Fund for Persons with Disabilities
The Opportunities Fund is an employment element of the Disability Agenda
for the Government of Canada. Individuals who self identify as persons with
disabilities, are unemployed and not eligible for Employment Insurance Benefits
can access the Opportunities Fund Program designed to assist them with their
return to work.

The Alberta Centre on Entrepreneurship and Disabilities provides on-going
business training, financial assistance, and support services to persons
who are interested in starting their own business and or already have
a business and require assistance to expand or enhance their services.
The
Entrepreneurship Centre -Ottawa
The Entrepreneurship Centre's mandate is to assist entrepreneurs attain
their goal of self-employment through the development of a new or existing
business in the Ottawa region. An initiative of the Ottawa Centre for
Research and Innovation (OCRI), the Entrepreneurship Centre is funded
by the City of Ottawa, the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and
Trade, Industry Canada and corporate sponsors such as the Royal Bank.

Henson College - Entrepreneurial Development Services for Persons with
Disabilities
Entrepreneurial Development Services (E.D.S.) for Persons with Disabilities
provides one-on-one business counselling and reference service to disabled
individuals interested in pursuing self-employment. E.D.S. offers the
following services: Assistance in assessing your self-employment suitability;
Assistance in assessing the validity of your business idea; Business Counselling;
Information and referral to education, training and funding opportunities;
Assistance in the development of a business plan; and Networking and mentoring
opportunities. E.D.S. is also available to individuals who have already
started their own business and are looking for business counselling and
advice.
